Confirmed from Thea's Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Thea's Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (729 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“It's a beautiful use of a little space of land under the bridge and down to the water.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Visited on a Saturday afternoon, was very quiet and peaceful.”

A little stinky, but the shorewalk is really cool. The bridge is a little spooky, but it’s an experience to to walk on it. You can take the bridge down to the pier and walk by the fishers. You can also see the mountains in the distance! Parking is also only $2 :)

Thea’s Park is a hidden gem! Hidden because I almost missed the turn off Dock St into the drive that leads to several parking spots on either side of the drive. Also a couple more spots to park all the way at the end of the drive by the small rock beach.

★★★★★ — Lindsay , Jul 2022

Lovely little waterfront park featuring a grassy lawn, walking paths, a little rocky beach, and interpretive signs about the history and the park's namesake. Google Thea Foss if you're interested, she was an incredible woman. There's not much parking, but probably enough for a park this size.

★★★★★ — Matt , Aug 2023

It's a beautiful use of a little space of land under the bridge and down to the water. Turned into a park of sorts. It has some parking under the bridge. It has lawnscaped grass and trees. A cement bulkhead where the little beach is formed at low tide. Paved walking area along the water to the small boat dock atea.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
