Confirmed from Third Creek Greenway Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful greenway for walking and jogging amongst the trees, plus biking.

Third Creek Greenway down to the Tennessee River. A beautiful ride on a mid-70s fall day. Not a cloud in the sky. One of my favorite green ways!
What a pleasant surprise this greenway is! I needed a place to run while working in Knoxville for a few weekends this past month. Beautifully manicured and picturesque! I look forward to coming back this next weekend!
A very nice hilly Knoxville walk through wonderful green spaces. The ONLY down side is the traffic noise... but hey, it's in Knoxville people!
Great environment and surrondings pace bike rental available via app, some roads are a little cracked and bumpy for bikes though but otherwise very fun for a walk or excersise. (beware though the running water isnt safe)

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
