We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Thornden Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Large green space with a rose garden, basketball court, playground, pool & amphitheater.

Great park. Tons of green space. Rose garden, pool, splash pad, amphitheater, playground, football field. Located right next to the university. Lots of options. Many people use the grounds for running and walking since there is a continuous loop featured throughout the property.
The tower area has the one of the best scenic views of the city. Very chill area. Everyone scrambles to get there and find parking to witness the beautiful sunset 🌄, there's nothing like it. Although, after the sunset, it's time to go!
Although most roses were not in bloom, I still had fun taking pictures. Plenty of nice things to shoot. I also had a great nice thanks to the hilly terrain.
This is a very spacious park with lots of walking paths and picnic areas. There is also a playground here and basketball court.
