Nice relaxing hike. You can make it 2 miles or 10 miles. The lake has a nice view and the sitting area is a huge bonus. Lots of resting benches during the hike too
Went on a Tuesday and had a great midday hike! Did the large 10 mile loop starting at the parking lot by the pond, into the Wickaboxet loop, and then back around the pond. There was almost no one there when I went so the trails were practically empty. Encountered a lot of fallen trees along the trails.
KEEP YOUR DOG ON A LEASH. Nobody should have to be on edge waiting for the next off leash dog coming around the corner. Just because you think you are special and don’t have to follow the rules - doesn’t mean you are. It’s a simple rule to follow that avoids injury to the dogs and people.
Didn't even know this place was right near our house! We did part of the Loggers loop I think it is called on the opposite side of the road from the pond. Very nice hike, we didn't have a lot of time to explore so we will be back for more! Lots of parking, a composting toilet, and tons of hiking trails.
