We went on the short hike from PKG lot 1. Took a right, stayed in blue trail. It was wonderful to hear and see the birds and to get some exercise. Just about 3 miles, some good inclines and declines. A solid intermediate hike. Bring water and bug spray and possibly a pair of pruners.
For RI which is an ugly state with almost no good hiking this place is not bad. In Ma it would be 3 star in NH 1 star but for the miserable state that I hate it's the best.
Beautiful, quiet, truly everything I could have wanted from a hike. We did the 3.2 mile loop but will do the longer trail next time. I can't wait to go back.
This is such a beautiful trail! Lots of options for how far/how long you want to walk. We did just over 2 miles with our 8 and 4 year olds and they loved it. There are lots of big boulders to climb and streams to play in.
