Confirmed from Timberlake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dog-friendly, peaceful outdoor space for activities such as fishing, picnics and walking.
What runners say about Timberlake Park
“Nice to explore, not crowded, follow a deer path to a hidden pond.”
Nice park, wonderful dog park area. Super clean pond with lots of good fishing, not overrun with carp like some areas. The trails are a little rough, i.e no pavement, running back to the lake but with the proper shoes it's not an issue. I will definitely be going back.
Nice dog park ! Stevie and Stan Played on the equipment w Lots of room to run. There are 2 fenced in runs, one for little digs under 30 lbs and a biggger one for Big dogs over 30 lbs.
Nice dog park. Found the fitness trail. It went to station #4, and then vanished. They need a crew to re-mark the trails. The park is nice, grassy awards, lakes and woods...a playground for kids and a couple of picnic shelters. I think that's everything.
Nice to explore, not crowded, follow a deer path to a hidden pond. Wetland restoration in progress, nice to have a real natural area in Solon Park District.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
