Confirmed from Timbers Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly oasis boasting a pond for fishing as well as ball fields, barbeque grills and playgrounds.
What runners say about Timbers Nature Preserve
“Clean park, bbq area, good seating, large awning for shade, decent fishing”
This place is a sweet little spot is located near a biking trail in Murphy, TX. We decided to take a little break from the afternoon heat and cool down near the pond....which is filled with Bass...by the way. A fish jumped out of the water and made a big splash....and several folks were out fishing.
Great park for kids and families. There's a well-maintained trail perfect for walking, jogging, or biking. The soccer and baseball fields have good grass and are in decent condition, making them ideal for sports and recreation.
Great little park! Love to go for bike rides and walks here with the kiddos. It’s nice and hidden too. Away from the hustle and bustle of the big city (Murphy)... Only time it’s really busy is when there’s baseball practice/games...
Great park. If you want a park pond that has the ability to produce a good time for begining fisherman this is it. Nice walking path around the park with facilities to sit and relax. Love visiting here.
