Easy to Moderate urban trail. Nice variety of a lower, short river hike and a longer foothills hike with good mountain and city views. Saw a Bald Eagle at close view.
I hiked up the Tom Cooke trail and then connected with the Steamboat Ditch trail. The trail was relatively flat and the ditch was pretty full. There was a sign at Hole In The Wall that said no swimming. The hills are still green and the flowers are blooming.
Easy enough hike. One fairly level, dirt road trail goes along river for approximately a mile before you hit a gate and have to circle back, but pretty views along the way. Other trails go up and along mountainside.
Trail is easy no shade. Mountain bike is ok. Easy hiking trail but very dry. No bathroom. Only 10 parking space. Dogs can swim in the river.
