Confirmed from Toms Run Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Toms Run Preserve
“Beautiful little section of woods for birdwatching, insect observations, salamanders, quiet time in nature, dog (on leash) walking, etc.”

This nature preserve has a few walking trails in a mostly secluded environment. I shared the trees on a Sunday AM only with birds and chipmunks. If you walk all of the mini-loops you could probably get in about 3 miles of hiking. Great spot for small kids to explore, manageable distances and not too hilly.
Enchanting hidden gem of a hiking area. I went in May and it was vibrant and lush and so many lil chipmunks scurrying around. The road to the parking lot is quite steep just just be ready for that and be sure to take a vehicle in good shape. Free but they have a donation box. Peaceful, serene, and secluded landscape.
Walked here from pilot travel center. Parking lot for 20 cars. Nice well maintained trails thru hardwood hills. Chipmunks, birds, whitetail deer w fawns.
Lived here for 7 years and just found this place today. Nice parking area and trails.

“4 stars only because they should put a bench and maybe water fountain at the top of the hill.”

- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
