Confirmed from Towsley Canyon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful local park with a charming creek known for its hiking trails, gorge & scenic views.
What runners say about Towsley Canyon Park
“Bubbling tar pits, forest, Meadows, walking through rivers via stepstones, gorgeous views and beautiful smells”
Hubby and I hiked Towsley Canyon. Epic! But...be prepared. There were a couple of times I almost stepped to close to the edge. Exhilarating and scary. Also..there's one part of the canyon that was completely walled with jagged rock cliffs. Multiple spots for big cats to ambush us. Be prepared.
There’s an addition two miles you can add on to Towsley’s 5 miles. It goes above the 5 mile loop adds another 800 feet of elevation gain. Some rock climbing and better view of SCV. Great hike & workout 3 benches up top at 2,800 feet face N East a perfect sunrise spot.
This place is amazing! I've been wanting to ride here for the last 10 years and finally had the opportunity on Monday. The 5 Mile loop did not disappoint, It lived up to its expectations and reviews on all the websites. For sure, I will be back there for the 2-mile hike and the 5-mi mountain bike loop.
This place is beautiful! There is a 2 mile hike that takes about 30-45 mins, and then there is the 5 mile loop, that goes all the way up the mountain, and around. There is a lovely grass field that is perfect for picnics.
