Confirmed from Trail of 100 Giants' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“The Trail of 100 Giants is a serene, easy loop through towering ancient sequoias that absolutely take your breath away.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“The path is well-maintained and family-friendly, with benches to pause and enjoy the majesty of these 2000+ year-old giants.”

My partner and I visited the Trails of 100 Giants on June 17, 2022, and it was such a beautiful and memorable experience. As we drove up, we passed through areas still showing signs of the wildfire. Blackened trees and scorched landscapes, but we also saw an incredible amount of new growth.

An unforgettable short hike among giants! The Trail of 100 Giants is a serene, easy loop through towering ancient sequoias that absolutely take your breath away. The size of these giants is simply shocking.

★★★★★ — Adam , Jul 2025

Great family trail hike loops nice sites this root cluster was amazing and huge on this fallen tree.

★★★★★ — Jon , Dec 2025

This is a nice alternative, though not a full replacement of the trails in Sequoia National Park. The trees here unfortunately also seems less maintained and protected.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 15 mentions

“A quick tip: parking is very limited, so I wouldn’t recommend coming during the summer or on weekends if you can avoid it.”
