Great place to walk your dogs, bring your mountain bike etc. There's areas with a few picnic tables, no grills. Easy trail to walk and our dogs loved it there. Plenty of parking and there's a station to lock your bicycle up too. FYI, if you're bringing kids, there weren't any bathroom facilities.
This hiking trail is beautiful. It takes you from complete openness to becoming completely forest like . There are moderate hills and many roots on the trail. So maybe if you arent sure footed it may be a bit of a challenge. But it is quiet and peaceful. There is a separate trail for bikes-which is great.
Awesome trails I kept heading north crossing over 2 roads and under railroad tracks took me an adventurous 2hours then I took the streets back or I would’ve been out 3 to 4 hours. This is one of my favorite riding trails now.
Trail View State Park is one of my all-time favorite hiking and biking spots. There are separate trails that connect to Bethpage State Park and Stillwell Woods Preserve, and the Cold Spring Harbor Trail is part of the 20-mile Nassau-Suffolk Greenbelt Trail.
