Confirmed from Tree Tops Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature trails, horseback riding, boating, fishing & wildlife observation at a green, marshland park.

“The park is Dog Friendly (on leash) or dog absolutely loves it here and it’s not so hot since there’s plenty of shade.”
Beautiful local park that will transport you into the wilderness with great tree canopy over well traveled trails. Easy walking / hiking for kids and the viewing tower is very cool to get a high up view of the forest. Beautiful birds and wildlife. There are playgrounds and horse trails as well.
We had an amazing family day at Tree Tops! There is so much to do—between the multiple playgrounds, the paddleboat rentals, and the easy hiking trails, we were entertained for hours. We especially loved 'Safety Town,' where kids can ride their bikes in a miniature city setting.
Tree Tops is a gorgeous park that retains some of our beautiful trees before development took most of them. I highly recommend this park as early in the morning as is possible. The golden sunlight throughout the aerial tree roots is spectacular!
Tree Tops Park is one of my favorite parks in all of Broward County. Every time I go there, it feels peaceful and refreshing. It’s the perfect place for a picnic, a quiet walk, or simply taking beautiful nature photos.

“One thing to keep in mind is that there aren’t many bathrooms throughout the park, so if that’s something you need frequently, it may be a limitation.”
“It has paved pathways and nature trails, I love the marshes in the evening.”
“As you can see from my pictures, there’s a beautiful wetlands boardwalk, large open green fields, and a very natural, untouched feeling throughout the park.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
