Such a beautiful area to walk, especially in Fall. I like that the trail is fairly short so it's easy for kids and people with breathing issues. Also, the view from the deck is amazing.
What an absolutely beautiful and diverse area to see a variety of plants and animals. I highly recommend walking this trail at least once during every season of the year.
Triangle Lake Bog is a 12,000-year-old glacial sanctuary. Its scenery is otherworldly: a deep, cold lake encircled by a spongy, emerald-green floating mat of sphagnum moss. Unique tamarack trees and carnivorous pitcher plants define this fragile landscape. Walking the boardwalk evokes a sense of stepping back in time.
This is a very small preserve with just a few short trails. It starts off on a paved path, I'd say don't judge it until you get to the boardwalk. Once you get to the viewing platform overlooking the pond you will be at the highlight of this preserve. It is absolutely serene.
