Confirmed from Trinity Skyline Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Trinity Skyline Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (89 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“I Luvv to walk across the bridge with my daughters, it's a beautiful view, and I come alone sometimes to jog on the trails, at night on weekend it's festivities!”

Awesome place to place around especially if you have kids. Dallas downtown view looks awesome from the Trinity Skyline trail. Currently limited parking space available for the trail. Evenings are best time to visit especially after sunset. Also you can talk a walk around trinity park below the skyline trail.

Good place to enjoy the Margaret Hint Hill Bridge Views. The trail is also good for walk and having fun.

★★★★★ — Avi , Jun 2023

One of the hidden gems for trails in Dallas. You can choose between unpaved trails along the top of the levee or the paved trails in the Trinity wetlands along the river. There are stunning views of the skyline all along the trail, as well as a good view of the Tri it y river and its wildlife.

★★★★★ — Julio , May 2018

The place is magnificent. A great scenic view of downtown Dallas. Wide, concrete trails which makes hiking and biking a very pleasant event. The Trinity River offers a colorful view of Nature: good fishing, a great variety of birds and other animals that make the area their home.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
