Confirmed from Turtle Creek Parkway Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 6 mentions

So, this is an interesting feature to have running through the heart of a major metropolitan area. And it goes like this: Right in the heart of Dallas, snaking it's way behind the glass and steel luxury apartments and in-between the high end bistro's and classy bars is Turtle Creek.

Very beautiful park. Nice cool shade trees. I like the outdoors but Texas heat, one can barely get out to enjoy the city or it’s nature scene. Walking along this park, the shade trees offer much cooler temps or so it seems. There a little brook that runs alongside.

It's basically a large field "fenced" off on one side by a river and on the other side by an actual fence. Great place to take your dog to run off leash. Not many people come here, so you'll have it mostly to yourself.

I love going for a walk in Turtle Creek. I tend to put on my headphones and sing at the top of my lungs. Usually people just smile so I guess I'm not ruining any ones day LOL but if you're not in a good headspace it's the perfect place to get in one.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
