Confirmed from Twelve Oaks Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Very cool little hike Plenty to see from easy trails bugs were a littletough.”

I was visiting Gulfport, Ms for a week and decided to visit some places to take pictures and Twelve Oaks Nature Trail was one of the places I came across. Once I saw the trees, I knew I had to capture them with my camera.

Beautiful hike tucked away in the middle of town! We enjoyed a nice walk through the trees and next to the Bayou. The views are awesome, and as you approach the bayou the sounds of the nearby traffic fade. I highly recommend this scenic trail for a place to unwind and enjoy the day.

Nice walking trail surprisingly close to one of the main streets in Ocean Springs. It's really short, no need to prepare for an actual hike. The path in some areas feels more like a suggestion than a path, but due to the size you can't really get lost.

This is a very beautiful place! It was a leisurely 30 minute trail though it took us a minute to find the small sign marking it. The trail isn't always clearly defined but I liked that about it. Very rustic and charming. We didn't know where to park and many reviews have said the same thing.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 19 mentions

“I went one early morning and was quite surprised at how this place is literally tucked off behind businesses right off a busy road, so be careful not to pass it or overlook it.”
