Confirmed from Ulster Landing County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly waterside venue for swimming, picnics and boat launching, along with hiking trails.
What runners say about Ulster Landing County Park
“Wonderful park and the picnic area, bathrooms, and soundings are clean and inviting.”
“Very shallow water, but a very scenic spot and not crowded.”
“It's a Hidden Gem great place to go barbecue picnic and just have a good time with your family quiet area .”
This is a nice park by the river with a network of satisfying trails through the surrounding woods. What's so satisfying about the trails? Well, they wind by the river while the sun shines through the trees just so, creating a lovely dream-like atmosphere, and then you float off like an oversized butterfly.
This is truly a gem! It has a beach, a playground, and hiking trail! Also a big Pavillion overlooking the Hudson River for a picnic or party!
The park is in a beautiful location with a beach with life guards in the summer, picnic areas, hiking trails that connect to Turkey Point Park, and a launch area for cartop boats and PWCs that's part of the quadricencennial water trail system.
This is a great park for many reasons. First the it's right along the Hudson River, second there are many outdoor grills and picnic tables, third take a walk and find the waterfalls and fourth in the past month I've had at least bald eagles fly right over my head.
