Confirmed from Falling Waters Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Riverfront, day-use park with trails, grassy fields & a waterfall, plus remains of an old icehouse.
What runners say about Falling Waters Preserve
“Beautiful riverside trail that circles back around on a high ground trail through the woods.”
“There are three main trails of different lengths and the trails are well marked.”
Very nice place. Don't expect too much. This isn't a big waterfall. Just a cute little spot. The walk through the woods is beautiful and relaxing.
It was a mild, gorgeous day, so it was pretty crowded. We got the last spot in the parking area. The red trail is quite easy. There are benches at fairly frequent intervals.
A great trail for some outdoor exercise and/or take a small lunch to have a bite next to the peaceful falling water. I’ve been down all pathways the red trail goes to the small falls and the others have more Hudson river views! The red and white trail run into one another so you can take a different path back.
Very pretty hike for me and Buddy. The falls and the river views were beautiful. There’s cool wooden handmade benches to relax on. The trails were well marked. There were some rocky/slightly steep parts, but that makes things more interesting. Everyone i saw there (6 people) each had their dog with them .
