Beautiful spot. I don't think too many people know about this place. It's a nice hour walk amongst trees and grass. The air is deliciously fresh, sweet, and woody. I could smell it through my face masks. You actually don't need to wear a mask most of the time because there's very few people.
This is an absolutely gorgeous "hidden" gem right in Red Hook! On the day I visited, the sky was bright blue above, the verdant meadows bright green all around, and the Hudson dark blue and flowing below.
This park is well maintained and has lots of good vistas and historical tidbits! The parking lot is a pretty decent size for this park(gravel terrain) and it's basically a short hop and a skip to the park entrance(accessibility is good). Also, this park has two porter-potties right at the entrance.
Cute little park my wife and I went to as a pit stop heading up north. Nice easy walk. Well taken care of. Glad we picked this spot =]
