Confirmed from Valley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Neighborhood park with a playground featuring swings, slides, and a climbing rope.
What runners say about Valley Park
“Manipulated grades with AstroTurf, earthen slides, rope towers, huge tube slide, swings and shade.”
“Nestled in a quiet Grandview neighborhood is this fear defying park great for all ages.”
Real small, but really fun place! Good place for kids, since you can always keep an eye on them. Shaded seating area with fun musical chimes (some are a bit underwhelming though). All in all, good place to spend an hour.
This is a small, but unique playground. Very steep metal tube slide that you have to climb up really high ropes to get to, and a smaller flat slide. Zipline, musical instruments. Trails in the woods. No swings, but even though it's out of our way, my kids ask to go to it.
Trail conditions & character
“I did watch a pretty little child fall from the big one so really make sure your children are ready before you let them climb the bigger structures.”
“Manipulated grades with AstroTurf, earthen slides, rope towers, huge tube slide, swings and shade.”
“There are 2 big web saucer swings, a large flat slide and a very long, tall slide that you have to climb ropes to get to.”
