Confirmed from Valley Spur's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Fantastic 🤩 Brilliant 🤩 Great fun 🥳 A very well designed and well marked challenging bike trail🚲 through the woods. It has everything; whoops, jumps, hairpin turns, berms, tight passages between trees, rocks, roots, smooth, straight runs, switchbacks, climbing hairpin turns, descending hairpin turns.

Came here for the snow, the grooming and the hills. Well 1 1/2 out of three is okay. Hills yes, grooming was decent on the beginner and intermediate trails--but it was not very good on the black diamond trails. I know it's been a thin year for snow, but the G loop wasn't groomed anywhere near as well as I expected.

As an inexperienced single track bike rider I loved these trails which I actually rode on a gravel bike. They are extremely well maintained, smooth (minimal rocks or roots), with gentle elevation changes, lots of twists and turns in a beautiful forest setting. The peacefulness of the trails was stunning.

10 dollar ski and snow shoe rentals. Rentals are donation based, there are no lessons so you have to know what you are doing to come here. Trails are well marked and very pretty

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
