Confirmed from Founders Landing's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Small waterfront park with a hidden waterfall, plus hiking trails beside a stream.
What runners say about Founders Landing

“Informal beach park with a secret waterfall, lovely wading shoreline, and quiet wooded walk up.”
Nice unexpected walk along the great lake of Superior right behind our hotel. Peaceful
One of my most favorite iconic landmarks in Marquette. It always makes me excited to know we're almost to Presque Isle Park. (Also an awesome and must see place if you're visiting the area.) We went in the middle of the winter for the first time and it was a whole new experience!
Not only great views, but a great shoreline for walking in the water alone or as a team. That's right, our UP Rowing club walks in carrying our rowing and sculling shells. It's a fabulous place to learn how to row! Our club house, along with restrooms, is just up the walking path. Check out uprowing.
Informal beach park with a secret waterfall, lovely wading shoreline, and quiet wooded walk up. Cycling path adjacent, short walk to restaurants and shops—a welcome oasis and our first glimpse of Marquette. I ended up coming back with my guitar to regale the wild ducks moving through the water nearby.
