Confirmed from Valley View Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Valley View Trailhead
Quiet and convenient. There's no parking at this trail head. It looks like there is a small lot, but it's a private tow-a-way lot. Instead, park across the street in the shopping center, and walk to it. Maybe grab some lunch or a snack while you're there.
love walking here!!! So peaceful w/ nice views of the water. Can really vary the lenght of your hike because there are a variety of trails to walk, some are paved ,some unpaved dirt. Very easy walking no major inclines. But signs are posted for Coyotes so be aware.
Good little trail that's close to where I live. The Upland trail is around 2.5 miles. It could be marked a little better when you come off the trail and run on the sidewalk. Another thing is I'm not sure where parking is allowed. I parked across the street in the shopping center, not sure if it is allowed.
This place was well planned, maps showing where that's start / stop , rest areas throughout the trails with benches , even picknic tables in select areas. 😁

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
