Visited on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm, following are some takeaways: 1. Trailhead has small parking lot (maybe around 20 cars). Not sure if its permitted but I saw a lot of cars parking on the sides of the Morrison Canyon Road. It was very busy. 2. Lots of view points for watching sunset 🌅⛰️. 3.
Beautiful spot for an easy and refreshing trek! Vargas Plateau Regional Park is a great place for trekking, even if you’re a beginner. The trails are well-maintained and easy to walk, making it perfect for a relaxed hike. The views from the top of the valley are absolutely stunning and totally worth it.
Speechless, this place is a fairytale. Extremely beautiful and peaceful, well preserved. Amazing for a walk, hills everywhere, green time in February. Ground squirrels everywhere and cows with they babies. My favorite hike 2025, there are ticks so be careful in the grass but anyway the phats are perfect.
Gorgeous views especially while it's lush green all around. Trails are on the easy/moderate side, and you can get views of east valley, the Bay and Elizabeth/Quarry lakes. There's a free parking lot at the entrance but also street parking along Morrison Canyon Rd.
