“Shady walk while hot in the summer.”
This is a free trail with available parking. The only issue that I encountered was the lack of signage but if you read the reviews you should be fine. My recommendation is to head west through the overpass, I added a picture to show it.
Good experience lots of birds and some wildlife nature pictures great hike with dogs
This trail head connects a couple of different trail systems. You can access the lake if you head East, but If you head under the overpass to the West, the Hickory Creek Trail system offers miles of relatively uncrowded trails with glimpses of the Lake Lewisville branches, hardwoods and decent shade.
Nice trail. Short walks to the lake in multiple directions. It's a bit muddy in the spring
