Confirmed from Veterans Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Lakeside green space with a 3-mile running trail, playgrounds, volleyball courts & a war memorial.

Really love taking my family to this park. There are swings and slides of all sizes, a butterfly garden, a beach volleyball court, covered picnic tables, a place to hang hammocks, long running path and ponds to fish in or feed ducks with kids.
This place looks awesome! This park has a playground and a 5k trail. When it was snowing, it has a clear view and and you can spot alot of birds in the snow or just regular days.
This park is beautiful and spacious!! Lots of long trails, scenic views, and a clean pavilion with bathrooms. Family friendly and pet friendly!!
I went there my first time for the Suicide Walk Out of the Darkness. I'm so glad they host this event there. Its a very nice place. It was extremely emotional seeing all the shoes and flags lined up. I hope they continue to do this every year. I will definitely be attending.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
