I was looking for a nice lakeside park to stop, think, and breathe. I didn’t expect much when I saw this park on the map, but WOW. It has a unique feel brimming with tranquility and serenity.
Visited in early October. Very nice park with plenty of recreational areas. Well groomed walking trails and a long and winding staircase to the beach area. Plenty of parking at the time of visit but probably fills quickly during the summer months.
***UPDATE*** The stairs down to Lake Michigan are finally completed and are open and OMG...its a nice climb down, but coming back up can kick your butt! Not much room down at the bottom so not many people go all the way down, but the climb is not for the faint of heart! I love this park.
I love working on my homework here from car. It’s great. The staircase down to the lakeshore is easy and the view from the top is cool. There are also a lot of great views of the lake from on top and the trees are beautiful and the sunset reflections off the lake are also beautiful!
