Confirmed from Vivian Park Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly park featuring a playground, picnic areas, and kid-friendly hikes, plus access to a biking/walking trail.
What runners say about Vivian Park Trailhead
“Awesome beautiful park right in the middle of Provo canyon that most people drive by @ 65 mph or more.”
“There are ducks and fish in the river, lots of shade along the trail and it's great for walking or riding as the pathway is well maintained.”
“It's a louder park with the highway nearby but still calm and relaxing.”
This trail is always fun! It's perfect for a walk or a bike ride. The walk by the river is peaceful.
Stopped here recently to park and walk along the Provo River Trail. Nice little park. We saw a June bug in the parking lot.
Awesome bike/walking path next to the river that is mostly a gradual incline. Water falls and parks along the way where we were able to do some yoga on the grass. Nice place to spend the day just a few minutes from Provo.
Water spigot, bathrooms (seasonal), pavilions, a playground and picnic tables make this a very nice park. The view is also very good. It's a louder park with the highway nearby but still calm and relaxing. Activities Picnic: they have several picnic tables and pavilions. The pavilions can be reserved in advance.
Trail conditions & character
“On the west side of the parking lot is a famous river, railways for the Heber Creeper, and in the summer a launch pad for tubing the river.”
