Confirmed from Waterfront Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Waterfront park offering a skateboard area, a playground, and facilities for baseball, softball, and bocce ball.
What runners say about Waterfront Park
“The park is clean and there is plenty of room for kids to play and to hang out.”
Good weekend getaway park for walks and picnic. The pier is neat compared to other places I visited. Peaceful and serene atmosphere with excellent views of Benicia-Martinez bridge and the shore.
Good size park with lots of activities. Bocce ball, skate park, soccer, full sports center, baseball, trails, fishing, the list goes on and on.
Great place to get the kids some practice runs on their bike. Very safe. Very clean
A great place to take a walk, walk your dog, fly a kite or watch the fireworks on the 4th of July.
Trail conditions & character
“The views are wonderful, we like to go early in the morning before anything is crowded, it is still cool and crisp.”
“Dogs aren't allowed in a good portion of the park, only in one small designated area and on paved paths only.”

- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
