Confirmed from Watertown Dog Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Watertown Dog Park
“Needs a little place with shade but clean, and dogs loved the run.”
Free free free. Cannot complain about anything if it is free. Fenced in park up hill, yes. No shade, yes. No water, yes. Free big yes! Thank you for a place to get out and stretch our legs.
Nice clean park in a rural setting. You can’t see the park from the parking lot. It’s just a short hike up the hill. Huge negative that there no water source in the park so come with a bowl and water for your dog.
A nice park for on leash walking and a small open area for off leash. I like it here as the sun is going down. Note: there are no bathrooms here. Can't say I never told ya!
A bit of a walk up hill before getting to the fenced in dog park. Overall a good time! There were no other dogs when we were there.
Trail conditions & character
“Advise: Have your dog on leash till you get into fence since there are other attractions that can divert your dog, like a muddy yucky puddle.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
