Confirmed from Webb's Mill Bog's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area with terrain that's good for kids.
What runners say about Webb's Mill Bog
“Little tough to find at first (entrance is right across from the WMA sign, and trailhead is very small), but beautiful short walk with tons of interesting plants.”
“Trail (left side route) to the boardwalk seemed like it gets a bit squishy with rain so be careful but otherwise, it's an easy trail.”
This is a beautiful little hidden gem. It's a very quick little hike down a trail and then a boardwalk with a description of trees and animals in the area. It hard to find if you don't know what you are looking for but thankfully it's pinned correctly in the exact location and there is an area with a sandy shoulder…
Very cute little boardwalk over a bog. So many interesting plants! I bet it's even more beautiful in late spring, early summer. Lots of birds too! Trail (left side route) to the boardwalk seemed like it gets a bit squishy with rain so be careful but otherwise, it's an easy trail.
Easy trail and boardwalk for all ages. Peaceful. Trail starts on the opposite side of the road from forestry sign.
This is not a "swamp" but part of the New Jersey wetlands. There is a history to the place which was told to me by an "old-timer" and I cannot vouch for te accuracy. It used to be a stage coach stop and possibly a jail. You could view the remains of the buildings in the past but they probably have disappeared.
Trail conditions & character
“Cool spot and nice boardwalk, though the descriptive storyboards along the walk are fading and crazing and barely readable.”
