Confirmed from Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with 10 formal gardens, a nature trail & the Swamp Forest boardwalk, plus classes & workshops.
What runners say about Wegerzyn Gardens MetroPark
“Beautiful trails, well maintained, nothing was blooming yet as it's just the first warm day of 2026 but it was the perfect day and place to walk through and enjoy nature.”
“This expansive botanical paradise offers a captivating array of themed gardens, from the vibrant, meticulously curated flower beds to the serene, lush woodland areas.”
Update: April 29, 2026 Wegerzyn Gardens is absolutely beautiful! The garden layout is thoughtful and easy to explore, with a stunning variety of flowers and plants. I loved seeing so many birds, butterflies, and insects — it’s full of life everywhere you look.
This park is SO Beautiful. We love walking through here. It’s perfect if you have kids and you’re looking for something to do. They have a sandbox, a water play area, some instruments. It’s a good place to go if you just want to walk and enjoy nature too. The plans are beautiful.
This place is beautiful! Especially right now with all of the summer flowers bloomed! I photographed a small photo shoot here and there were so many opportunities for pictures. I highly recommend coming here for pictures or to let your kids play in the water park portion of the park or just to walk around.
It was really nice there were trails, beautiful gardens, a fishing lake and even fun for the kids. There's an Entertainment center, sand boxes, music instruments and water geisers I was definitely impressed!! good spot to propose, have a picnic, walk your dog, or just sit in the park to read a book ..
