Confirmed from Art Van Atta Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Art Van Atta Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (542 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Needs alittle clean up at times but over all a great walk.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Beautiful park, small playground with many picnic areas.”

Has sports complex features in the front of the park. Follow the park road to the back of the park and you will find a natural wooded area with moderate to hard elevations. one of the main trails is blacktopped and you can follow that around and do the health fitness sections to improve the body and mind.

Great park, a little secluded, u might pass it up if u didn't know it was there. Has all the amenities to have a good time. Wide open areas to play sports, picnic areas and tables, walking paths, areas for kids.

I took my seven-year-old granddaughter and my ten-year-old grandson they had a great time playing on the climb and stuff and a slide in the tunnels and then we went down to the lake and they threw rocks at the lady in the lake and everything so yeah it's really a nice part got nice trails

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
