Confirmed from Wekiva River Buffer Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wetlands preserve boasting birds & other wildlife, plus hiking, biking & fishing.

“The naturally spring fed river provides scenic, inspiring and peaceful views for individuals who seek serenity.”

Pretty nice for a day outdoors. It's more native than some other parks I've been to, but it has the regular Picnic area overseeing the river, some picnic tables with grills, you can bathe in the water and rent a canoe, or just walk/ bike among the trees..
Rollins College has owned Shell Island for 65 years and provides it's students a learning place with historical educational value. This private island can be viewed from the clear, quiet and abundant river. The Timucuan Indians inhabited this area long ago.
If you are here for the nature this is your place. However, if you are looking for anything else, like facilities and or playgrounds, this is not your place. Natural unpaved trails for walking and enjoying the nature in the back of the Sabal Pointe neighborhood.
Convenient hiking trail adjacent to the Sabal community. Good clear access for bikes, and family group walks. Open from sunrise to sunset with no costs involved.
