Confirmed from Weldon Peete Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

Decent park, almost 3 miles of trails for hiking and biking. Nice spot to launch a kayak or fish.

★★★★☆ — Ryan , Jul 2022

Beautiful park running alongside the river. Several bike trails criss cross the grounds with several interesting obstacles to navigate. There are also several paved trails for walking and riding. Dogs are welcome. You'll spot deer and several types of birds.

★★★★★ — Trey , Oct 2022

Great trail biking location. It's not super technical but has plenty of features to practice building skills and it's long enough to have a good workout with a couple laps. Make sure to read the posted sign for the trail direction that day. On busy days take care to watch out for people walking on the trail.

★★★★★ — Ben , Mar 2021

I've just recently discover this park, and find myself enjoying it more and more with each visit. The paved trails are very nice, and the mountain bike trails are well kept and very fun!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🛣️ Paved surface 5 mentions

“Cool place to launch kayaks, fish along the shore and they have a lot of walking paths, most of which are paved.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
