Confirmed from West Bridgewater Rail Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Easy-going hiking area with a straight path that's suitable for kids and dogs.
What runners say about West Bridgewater Rail Trail
“Clean open alot of people walking dogs”
Great for a nice reflective walk or a good workout on a bike. A great example of the trails and forests in this area. The Bridgewater Rail Trail extends pretty far. Intersecting with other small paths, rivers, and brooks along the way. There are unique drainage areas on each side of the path made from stone blocks.
Great! Although the “trail” is one straight walk way through a forest with 2 open Feilds near the entrance and a few small streams. Not bad
Great place to visit for a short walk. Especially good for being flat and easy for beginners and those looking for a relaxed walk. I find this is a great place to walk during hunting season, since there usually aren't any hunters.
It was a little short for my liking, but overall, a nice walk. Heard plenty of Redwing Black Birds, a lot of Poison Ivy along the trail, and some Jewel Weed to neutralize the poison from the Poison Ivy. There were some green onions growing along the edge of the corn field. A nice big parking lot for many cars.
Trail conditions & character
“People keep their dogs on a leash for the most part, everyone I ran into was friendly.”
“Very nice; easy, local walk but beware it takes you to a local street instead of circling around to the beginning/parking area.”

The practical stuff

- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
