Confirmed from West Gator Creek Road's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wildlife refuge featuring a scenic drive with opportunities to see alligators, dolphins, and a variety of birds.
What runners say about West Gator Creek Road
“Such a beautiful place not busy and so much nature seen a gator eat another gator and watched rocket ship launch”
“The views along the water are incredible, with calm reflections and plenty of spots to pause and just take it all in.”
We stopped in at the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge West Gator Creek Road parking lot and unloaded our bikes. We road the Gator creek road and had a wonderful time viewing the wildife along the way we saw an abundance of shore birds, waterfoul and osprey. This is a birders paradise.
Had an absolutely beautiful afternoon at Black Point Wildlife Drive. The weather was warm and perfect, and the entire drive felt მშვიდ and relaxing. There were birds everywhere—herons, egrets, and even some stunning pink spoonbills—which made the experience feel truly special.
Pleasant and elegant beachside location. It has friendly nature surroundings. Sunset location makes a natural beauty of the beach. There are several jellies fish nearly the coast. A romantic evening made the shade of pleasing colors—free public parking space. It doesn't have a restroom.
Nice easy walk. Saw a few different birds, stingrays, horseshoe crabs, dolphins, and lots of common white/yellow butterflies. Gators are there but we went during the afternoon so we didn't see any this time.
