Confirmed from Western Greenway Trailhead: Turkey Ridge Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Western Greenway Trailhead: Turkey Ridge Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (15 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Turkey Ridge Trail - First time there. I was pleasantly surprised the trail traverses the Wildwood Ozark type mountains and gets to an elvation rivaling the highest points in the area. The trail is moderate and 2 miles long.

Fun little trail. Nice shade, steeper than we thought but not bad. We’ve heard there’s war artifacts here but we apparently didn’t know exactly where to look 😂 Really pretty hike, great for families.

Fantastic 2 mile loop. You can hear the highway nearby for a bit, but it's not too distracting and it's absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, and serene. I saw 3 deer about 30 yards away! The trail path itself is rugged, rocky & rough, which I prefer in a trail. 1st half is uphill then back down. Loved it!

A nice 2 mile loop, when I hiked it in early February you had nice views through the trees (could see Hidden Valley in the distance). A nice addition to other hikes in the area or if you are just passing through and want to stretch your legs. Trail was in good condition.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 4 mentions

“I enjoyed the distant view of hidden valle ski resort with its snow capped ozark mountain side in the distance from the top of the trail.”
