Confirmed from Bluff View Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 12 mentions

“Fun mountain biking trails, gorgeous views, and if you're lucky you might see some albino deer The loops by the parking lot have some jumps.”

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

“Great trailhead to run Bluff View and Rock Hollow (Zombie trails).”

Nice, clean, well maintained park. There is one scenic view obtainable by a paved path. Beautiful view. Well worth the walk however keep in mind. The path is downhill so even though it says .5 miles, your trip back is steady uphill. Good little workout.

Beautiful park offering panoramic views of the Meramec River valley. Scenic overlook is approximately 1/2 mile from the parking lot, and the trail continues an additional 2 miles down to the Al Foster Trail network. Great for hiking, trail running, it mountain biking.

Gorgeous park! I came early on a Saturday (8:30ish) and the lot was mostly empty. The first half mile of the hike is paved with a few benches along the way that leads to the overview/lookout point.

WATCH FOR TICKS! DONT PARK UNDER SHADED RIGHT SIDE! And wear repellent!!! Preferably not chemical crap that half works, but after hitting the bluff bike trail i sat on the bench at the overlook and felt one crawling on my hand, brown tick, told some people on the left side of the parking lot to watch for ticks and…

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
