Confirmed from Whisman Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

A nice park connecting Stevens Creek trail and Hetch-hetchy trail and bordering the GISSV (German International School Silicon Valley). There is a playground, tennis courts and a large meadow.

★★★★☆ — C , Feb 2022

A park by shoreline trail. A good waypoint if you are biking with kids. Has restrooms and tennis courts along with a small kids play area.

★★★★☆ — Amar , Mar 2024

It's a great big park next to a nice long trail. The doggy park is great. It regularly has A LOT of friendly dogs around 5 pm :)

★★★★★ — Salem , Mar 2020

Nice playground for the kids with plenty of nearby benches/picnic tables. This park gives you access to a nearby trail that is well shaded if you go to the left when you enter the trail. The water fountains and bathrooms are a benefit of this park. There is also a tennis court on one side of the park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“This is a great park to start/end a walk on the nearby Stevens Creek Trail (which is a nice trail to walk a dog or go for a bike ride).”

  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
