Confirmed from Whitetail Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Whitetail Woods
Pleasant little 1 mile loop trail in the woods. Parts of the trail are in people's back yards could be annoying for some people but it makes it hard to get lost. Trail is well traveled and marked with colored diamonds on the trees.
Friday early afternoon hike at Whitetail Woods (Littleton, MA). I parked in the parking lot off Spectacle Pond Road, did most of the outer loop counterclockwise, then did the upper inner loop, down the outer loop, then back via the lower inner loop and finished the outer loop. Total elevation gain = 186 feet
Short hiking trail. I use to add a little distance to my runs. Area is surrounded by houses. Marked well enough that traversing is not an issue.
Easy, quick hike. Only complaint is that the trail is often quite wet after rain.
Trail conditions & character
“However it is not a wheelchair accessible trail.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
