Confirmed from William Bill Hughes Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Neighborhood park with basketball & tennis courts, a soccer field, playground & area for dogs.
What runners say about William Bill Hughes Park
“This is a very nice, well maintained and highly active park.”
“The south side has the basketball court, soccer field, dog park, and a walking path.”
The shape of this park is very strange and unique. There are two large grassy areas separated by a stretch of bike trail. Onehas a playground and the other has a basketball court, field, and a dog park. The restrooms are up by the tennis court.
It is a peaceful and beautiful park. Everyone knows that dogs are the best place for a walk. So, while cleaning up dog secretions is natural, some dog owners go home without doing the basics.
Nice walk up and down creek with some hill work. Good restrooms and kids play area and grass for dogs, soccer.
I come out here to just play basketball and it's a great park to do so. if you come during weekday/weekend nights in the summer, expect a crowd to be out there running 5 on 5. Everyone out there is also pretty friendly and would be willing to pick up players to run 5's.
Trail conditions & character
“Perfect place for your canine family member to run around in dog park while kids practice nicely marked soccer field and adults can play picket ball or tennis !”
“This sprawling park has lighted soccer fields, a children's playground, lighted tennis courts, a full basketball court, and even an off leash dog park.”
“There are restrooms at the southwest corner of the park, near the tennis basketball courts.”
“There are two parking lots making at it an ideal place to access the paved Pleasant Grove Creek biking & walking trail that meanders through the park.”
“There is a drinking fountain, but no restrooms near the children's play area in the northern part of the park.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
