Confirmed from William Brooks Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a boardwalk through a swamp marsh, plus fishing, and kayaking.
What runners say about William Brooks Park
“Beautiful walkways that extend into the water and two docks to launch boats from.”
“Peaceful, easy parking, love the set up and location.”
Just a nice peaceful go to place. Board walks intermingling over shallow, swampy like areas, boat ramps, lots of trees. Between Saraland and Chickasaw. Pic nic areas, just no working rest rooms! There are port a pottys near boat launch area. All the board walks were built just a few years ago.
Beautiful, quiet, maze of boardwalks. Good location to launch a boat or access kayak trails.
They are updating the pier and have nice boardwalk trails to walk on. Beautiful sunsets of a evening also.
Park is a bit run down but the views are nice. The board walks are in need of repair and pressure washing. Lots of graffiti. The covered areas and benches add a nice touch. Nice view on the second and first levels of the covered piers that are over the water. Nice to take walks on the boardwalks.
