Confirmed from Williamson Valley Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Williamson Valley Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (104 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Some take you to Mint Wash and it is a lovely place to enjoy wildlife and the beautiful rock formations as well as a few historic indian worship locations.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Thos is a nice, easy trail.”

Great trails to explore! I tend to stay away during snake season (July & August) but otherwise I love exploring here. Very easy trails. Can start here and hike all the way to Granite Basin Lake (more like a big pond). Really beautiful areas to see.

Lived here for 21 years and still think it is a special place to hike, ride bikes or horseback ride. Cannot beat the views and the trail.choices. Some take you to Mint Wash and it is a lovely place to enjoy wildlife and the beautiful rock formations as well as a few historic indian worship locations.

Beautifully lush and quietly magnificent in its own right. Didn't go the whole way because it was a hot day and we had the dogs with us. Not much shade for them at the beginning. Looking forward to going back though. Enjoyed what we did walk.

This is one of my go to places to trail ride my horses. Always polite other trail users: bikes, hikers and dogs. Usually ride with friends, based on the weekend link for skills to determine the route.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
