Confirmed from Wilmington Town Forest's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Wilmington Town Forest

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (43 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

The patking area is in the south eastern point of the forest, as shown on the included pic. This gets one on the blue blazed trail, which leads uphill to the water tower. After the water tower, the blue trail continues down the otherside of the hill, eventually ending in the back of an industrial parking area.

★★★★★ — James , Jul 2020

Great trails for running or walking with loop options to extend your journey. Some small gradual hills, little wet areas even after rains. Quiet and will likely see a deer on occasion.

★★★★★ — Nick , Sep 2017

Went here with family and was pleasantly surprised! Lots of trails, places to sit and enjoy nature. Bring bug spray.

★★★★★ — Corinne , Jul 2017

A beautiful place to be and hike. The trails aren't always clear, but that's half the fun.

★★★★★ — Coolbaugh , Jun 2018

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
