Confirmed from Wilson Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational park featuring a playground, tennis and basketball courts, and a splash pad, plus athletic fields.
What runners say about Wilson Park
“Please call a professional soft wash specialist to clean the splash pad next time, the tiger stripes are not a good look.”
“A very quiet and beautiful place, the east coast in my opinion the cleanest beaches and best maintained that I have ever seen.”
Great playground with water sprays, and amazing grassy fields, perfect for playing ball or just walking/running around
This park is absolutely beautiful and picturesque. Went here on the first day of Fall 2020 and loved it. There was a wonderful breeze and it felt secluded with a sunny overcast. Nature was everywhere, go figure. But the REAL nature picturesque shots came like every 10ft.
Great park in North Kingston. Playground for kids, pickleball courts, lots of space for sports and events, including the wickford art festival. Boat launch and views of the cove Plenty of parking here to. Nice stop on the bike tour and also good place to launch kayaks.
Very good place for outdoor activities. Playground is spread out with sand ground around equipment and swings, there are picnic tables outside of play area and a track for walking. Also close to Wickford for a nice walk! Only gave 4 stars because not much parking.

Plan your run at Wilson Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
