Confirmed from Withrow Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

An absolutely lovely walk. My family of 6 enjoyed the trails in April when the variety of wildflowers and trees were in bloom. The trail was nice and smooth, even for our 6-year-old. The Ohio River overlook is worth the walk. There are benches to just rest and enjoy the scenery.

Great afternoon to hike at the Withrow Nature Preserve and observe the new green coming out. Some wildflowers were blooming along with some planted Daffodils courtesy of someone in the distant past. I like being able to see through the trees before the leaves come out.

First time hiking the trails at this park/nature preserve. Had a great time with my family (kids between 9 mo and 7 yrs). Plenty of space on the trails or spots to step aside, if crossing paths, to social distance.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
