Confirmed from Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wildlife hospital with a nature center featuring hiking trails and a playroom.
What runners say about Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge
“The scenery is beautiful and the animals are clearly loved and taken care of.”
This refuge is a great escape from the busy world, featuring multiple nature trails that wind through the woods, crossing over satisfyingly beautiful creeks, and passed gorgeous birds, some of which you can see in this review. I highly encourage you to come for yourself taking your family to relax and enjoy nature.
Woodford is a beautiful refuge with nice trails and lots of educational info. Check out their Facebook page for daily live educational content. They are doing amazing work rehabilitating NJ wildlife. Bravo!! Some say Disney I'd their favorite spot...not me. Woodford is the most magical place of all.
Great little hidden gem! Excellent for little explorers. The Story Book Trail was a lot of fun! Some areas have some tricky footing but with slow careful steps, we got through it without any falls.
This was a great place to visit! There were a lot of hawks, owls, and other birds to see, and while it's unfortunate they can't survive in the wild, it is nice to know that there is a place like this to give them a home with staff who cares.
