Confirmed from Woodmont Natural Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A shaded trail runs through this small, scenic nature preserve that is home to butterflies & birds.
What runners say about Woodmont Natural Area
“Beautiful little preserve trail is about a half mile loop, peaceful and well used seen many people enjoying it.”
“This is a perfect place to walk on hot summer days because the majority of the pathway is shaded by trees.”
“Quiet nature trail but only for walking- no bicycles unfortunately which we discovered after we biked for 30 minutes to get there.”
This is a perfect place to walk on hot summer days because the majority of the pathway is shaded by trees. It's a loop path about 875 steps around. Totally paved either with asphalt, concrete and even a boardwalk. Birds, butterflies and turtles are common. There are also a couple benches for sitting.
This park presents a variety of foliage and some wildlife. During hot days the trees provide a great canopy of shade and the concrete walkway which runs throughout the habitation area makes for a very pleasant trek through this habitation area.
This park was an 11 minute drive from home and I had no idea it was there. Relaxing, short walk, just nature!
"A hidden gem in Pompano Beach! Peaceful trails, beautiful native plants, and great for a quiet walk or some birdwatching. Perfect spot to enjoy nature without crowds."
